From The Humane Society of the Black Hills

Humane SocietyI would like to thank the folks at Tru-Catch Traps for allowing me to test the new 30FD small animal trap. We have used Tru-Catch Traps for years here at the Humane Society of the Black Hills, and I believe that Tru-Catch has out done any other trap made with the 30FD. The trap sets up in less than a minute after a little practice. The 30 FD will store or haul three to one in the same area of the 30D. If you are like me and haul way m ore equipment than necessary, then this is the trap for you. With the 30FD you can haul way more traps to a capture a feral cat colony, or even a den of wildlife such as raccoons.

At the Humane Society of the Black Hills we also rent traps to the public. With mare and more people driving small compact cars, the ability to fold down the 30FD is a great benefit for us. An added bonus that I feel was not intended is the catch pins double as extra handles which work great for safely moving the trap in or out of tight areas. The pins are strong enough to maneuver the trap when empty or full. I had some concerns about the strength and durability of the trap when Tru-Catch first brought the 30FD to me, but they were soon dismissed when I caught a 20 pound feral torn cat I am convinced that this is the trap for us, so convinced toot I have asked the board to purchase ten of these traps when they start marketing them.

Sincerely,
Kent Brown

Dear Sir:

Your TRU-CATCH Live Trap has helped me out of a deep dilemma. I had a visiting opossum in my garden who couldn't seem to take no for an answer. Was afraid my dogs might do him harm as he became a regular visitor. The TRU-CATCH trap enabled me to move him harmlessly inot a less settled area.

In appreciation,

Betty White

Having been a past trapping instructor for the state of Ohio I have seen my share of traps and I consider this trap exactly what the company calls it–a Tru-Catch Trap. Since the trapping season was not in when I tested this trap I used with the permission of our local Game Protector to catch and release problem animals. This consisted of six raccoons, three ground gogs and two cats. In every attempt the trap never tripped without an animal in it. I witnessed one cat and one ground hog catching themselves and that's where the anti-backout ring shines. If the door does not close all the way, no matter how hard the animal pushes he can't reopen it and when he goes forward to get a better push, the door closes more. Soon  he has locked himself in completely. If you use a live trap, the Tru-Catch is dependable and heavily constructed for a long life.

The Tru-Catch Trap works very well. The wire construction is very light for carrying, but still very strong. This trap works as well on small animals like squirrels and chipmunks as on larger species like raccoons,  opossums, skunks and cats. Setting the Tru-Catch Trap is easy. You can set the trip for light to heavy. I recommend the Tru-Catch Trap to any NAHC member who needs the use of a live trap.
